Weekend update with…ME

First off, our internet has been intermittent so my usual posting schedule has been interrupted because the only time I can get online is when I stand on my head on the roof with the laptop balanced on top of my feet. Then I can access the web using the neighbors unsecured network. It’s their fault for not securing it…

I saw the X-Files movie yesterday, woo-hoo! It’s a shame I can’t sit through a whole movie anymore though…I needed 2 potty breaks, sheesh! I loved the movie, but they could have had a whole movie of Mulder and Scully wind sailing and I’d probably enjoy it. I’m a geek.

Why is it that older kids revert to playing with baby toys? Jake is obsessed with some new stacking cups I bought Abby. He keeps taking them and I find him off in a corner playing with them. Ed gave him some plastic cups from the kitchen cabinet and told him to give Abby her toys back and you know what? HE WAS PLAYING WITH THE KITCHEN CUPS! Kids are weird.

What else….

Abby is teething something awful, we better see a tooth here soon!!!!

Well, that’s all for now….my head hurts from standing on it and typing….

    Alicia,
How long is that movie? I seriously think I may have taken 3, not 2 potty breaks. I was so embarrassed! I can’t wait to see Dark Knight, it just may wait for DVD!

  2. Kim says:

    Pam,
    How true!
Abby loves the boxes and wrappers!

  3. Kim says:

    Renee,
No one knows WHY technology acts as it does…I just adapt and overcome hehe. The X-Files movie, well both actually, are good. They can stand on their own for the most part in case you weren’t a fan of the show. I don’t want to say much more because it has been very hush-hush and I don’t want to have to add a “spoiler” disclaimer.

  4. Hey Kim-

Thanks for subscribing and adding me to your ‘other mom blogs’ link list. You are now entered 3 times in the Baby Huggables giveaway.

    Thanks!, Mary

  5. My older kids only played with the younger toys when the younger kids wanted them. Transition of Ownership usually involved a smack, a snatch and a scream.

So was anything resolved at the end of the movie? Were there aliens finally?

  6. Celeste says:

Yes it’s funny what kids choose to play with. My daughter is almost 5 and her favorite toys are still her plastic vegetables from when she was 2.

I didn’t know there was a movie X-files? We saw Mama Mia. Hubby is a theater geek and saw the play already. Sorry about the internet, seriously would kill me (nearly did on vacation!)

As for kids…we are garage sale-ing this weekend, and all the baby toys are out ready to be labeled, etc.

And you guessed it. All the kids are playing with ALL the stuff. Oh sure, NOW that it’s leaving they will play with it! Argh.

  8. Alicia says:

OOOO sounds like you had a good weekend. We actually went and saw The Dark Knight, what an incredible movie! I think you should go see that next :)

  9. pam says:

Hey, at least older kids want to play with toys… babies usually love the boxes the stuff comes in… ;)

  10. Renee says:

Why do you have to stand on your head to get the signal? Seems like standing on the roof would do it. I want to see the X-Files movie, I love the X-Files. I missed the first movie and apparently Neflix does not carry it. What is that about? Anyhow, I may just forge ahead and see it anyway.
