Today I read a post on one of my favorite blogs, Pamibe, about prayers being answered and congratulating some new parents.
The new parents actually adopted a 5 year old little girl and they just touched my heart. You can find their wonderful announcement here: Lee Ann’s View.
I wanted to share this because with all the crap about politics and the economy and the things that are going on in our world that sadden or cause fear in our lives, this story offers simply hope. It reminds me of the things that are really important and what life is truly about.
The other stuff affects us, but we don’t have to let it define us.
Congratulations to you and your family Lee Ann!

I grinned from ear to ear when I read the news. I’m so happy for them.
We just adopted our 16 yr old foster daughter than we have had for 2 yrs, people just dont realize how many kids there are in this country who need a home an just want a “forever family” an have been in the foster care system so long an since they arent babies no body wants them,we love our daughter an she has come so far since she entered our home,we had 5 grown children an were empty nesters,an people thought we were crazy to do this at this time in our lifes, but we knew she needed us an we had room an love to spare,an its been a great an challenging experience, yes shes a teenager an weve been there done that before so we knew what to expect,we have kids ages,34,29,27,25,23,an 16,it was a blended family an now shes the ours together,an we have 5 grandchildren,so its a big family an shes a happy girl,so anyone please consider the kids in foster care that have been bounced around an need a home a love,we dont have money an live very frugally, but you know what, she doesnt care, she goes to bed at night knowing she will never be hit an she is loved an we will always be there for her, thanks
We need life affirming posts like LeeAnn’s …

Thanks for sharing the good news.
If only there was a channel with only good news on it!
Thanks for sharing!
That is great, I think it is wonderful when people give a child a chance for a happy life in a home with people that will love them.
That news tore me away from the all the bad so I could bask in the light of joy for a while. Like turning your face up to the sun on a cloudy day.
I love it! :D
What a great post! A wonderful reminder to let go of the mess and acknowledge the beauty in the everyday. Although adoption is more than the everyday.
