In early 2008 my Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. The 5-year survival rate for this advanced of a cancer is around 15%. The doctors were not optimistic and left us with what pretty much amounted to “get your affairs in order.” He accepted enrollment in a clinical trial not long after with the hopes of at least prolonging the inevitable.
Last year right around this time (on my birthday), I reported that my Dad was considered in “partial remission” because a number of tumors had disappeared and those that remained were still shrinking. Now, 1 week after my birthday (and his actually) we have found out that he is in TOTAL REMISSION.
Let me say it again…but louder…
TOTAL REMISSION
My Dad kicked Cancer’s ass! Woo-hoo!
I guess God wasn’t ready for him yet, and we’re just fine with that!

Yeah!!!!!!!!
What a testiment to faithfulness and never giving up… This is a tremendous story and I would say it even louder. Wow!!
Congratulations to your dad! that is remarkable! What a milestone!
