Um…that didn’t go as planned.

paper

Today Jake told me that he wishes we could buy the game we just returned to the rental store for the Playstation 2.

I told him to ask Santa.

He said defiantly, “well last year he didn’t get me what I wanted.”

I was taken aback.

Silence…

Quick…say something…

“Well, why don’t you make a list so you can make sure he knows exactly what you want,” I told him.

“But how will he see the list?” he asked.

“We will go see him and you can tell him what is on your list, plus Santa can see you all the time and he knows what you want” I said. (I really thought I had him here.)

He disappears into his room. (Good he’s making his list so I can start planning NOW)

He returns with a piece of paper and hands it to me. (Fantastic, that was fast so he must not want too much)

It says, “you can get me what I want.”

Crap.

  4. Karen says:

I used to tell you that we had to pay Santa to bring stuff so you would not get everything you wanted.

  5. Jake is just too smart for his own good. I would go with what the others said about reading minds.

    Good Luck!

  6. Jess says:

  7. lisa says:

oh no, you better think Kim! You told him Santa watches him so now he thinks Santa knows what he wants. You are going to have to think of something, maybe get him to do the letter to Santa on the computer and he can tell him there !

  8. So, santa is supposed to read his mind? AHHHHHH!!!

    Think fast, mom. THINK FAST!

  9. Kendahl says:

Oh no! My daughter has this just fantastic cousin who told her Santa is not real last year before Christmas. It took me 3 hours to convince her that he is, though I’m not sure it completely convinced her.

  10. Awww. So what are you going to do?
