Trisha @ Momdot – here’s your button!

good luckI was recently given a button by Cat at 3 Kids and Us as a part of the “Button of the Week” series. Cat gave me a “good luck” button for a number of reasons including for my husband’s continuing job search and for my sister for her new baby. Thanks Cat!

Now it is my turn to pass on a button.

I am passing on a button to Trisha from Momdot this week. Trisha, here is your button:

untitled-1-copy

Trisha started Momdot with the goal of helping other mom bloggers and boutique owners. From day one she wanted to not only use her knowledge to help others succeed online, she also envisioned a community where everyone helps each other. I once said that participating in Momdot would one day be akin to buying Microsoft stock in the 80′s and it is obvious I was right. Momdot has grown by leaps and bounds in such a short time (she really should look for jobs in marketing – she is a natural).

The thing about Trisha is that she will over and over again insist it is a team effort, and in no way do I want to discount all the wonderful ladies that help her every day. The thing is, without a fearless leader, coach, manager – whatever you want to call her, Momdot and the entire mom blogs world would not be what it is without Trisha.

The words on the button…”special person” and “generous heart” kept repeating themselves in my head last night after Trisha did one her live events. During this live event, Trisha answered questions and generally disseminated a wealth of information about blogging. She talked about how to optimize for search engines, how to write great titles, how to link to not only help your own Google page rank, but how to help others as well. It was SEO gold and she gave freely and in a way that we could easily understand and begin to implement on our blogs.

On top of all that, Trisha started Bloggers Give, a website that allows bloggers to help needy people by requesting extra products when doing a review or giveaway.

So Trisha, we all love you for being our fearless leader, web guru, therapist and more! You ARE a special person with a generous heart you are one of a kind.

There are so many great posts on Momdot written by Trisha, but my favorite this week is her birthday tribute to her daughter. Go check out Trisha’s post and if you are so inclined, share a “Button of the Week” with someone else!
