Really, just feet.
Most of us have them, and except for the baby ones, most of them are not that fun to look at.
Well today I just love feet!
For the first time ever, I experienced teaching something to Abby sort of real-time. We actually started yesterday. She had gotten a couple of dolls for her birthday and she was hugging one of them and touching her face and hands and feet. She recognizes a few words like juice, milk, hug, Jake, Daddy, Mommy and night-night. She learned those from us repeating them over and over again. But yesterday I TAUGHT her to recognize feet with that doll! I can’t explain how excited I was today to ask her where her feet were and she bent down and touched them!
They are just feet.
But wow, how amazing it is to know that I taught her that they are feet!

awww how sweet
Lori,
You should see her! The last time you saw her all she did was sleep. This is one of my favorite ages especially considering the only talking she does is “ma-ma,” “jake” (which sounds more like “jeek” and occasional “da-da” and “nigh-nigh” (my favorite hehe). It’s all down hill once they talk in complete sentences. ;)
Thanks Heather! I think a big part of my excitement over this comes from the fact that I didn’t get to teach Jake this stuff since I worked full time. Now that I’m at home I get to experience these moments that I never even realized that I missed with Jake.
How the heck are ya, BTW?
Thank Michelle! It’s amazing how sappy I’ve become since i had kids!
Awww, that’s so cool!! They are so cute at this stage.
when Hannah learned head and shoulders knees and toes it was one of the most rewarding experiences – I totally know what you mean! Cute tootsies too ;)
I know what you mean.. sentimental mushes we are!!! ;) and what precious little feet they are!! :)
