The Wiggles: Sing a Song of Wiggles DVD (yeah I like it so what?)

Sprout Television is the new home of The Wiggles!

We are Wiggles fans from way back.  My son is almost 6 and when he was around 2 years old, probably until he was 4 he adored The Wiggles.  He even had a Wiggles toddler bed, bedding and curtains.  He had all the branded toys, and always asked to watch them on television.  Even my husband is a fan, especially after seeing one of their Christmas specials (yes they use the word Christmas) and hearing them sing about Jesus.  Personally I had a little crush on Anthony.

Now, with an almost 2 year old, we are experiencing The Wiggles all over again because my daughter seems to love them as much as Jake did.  “Iggle Iggle Iggle” and she calls them is way up on her list of favorite things and luckily we saved all the toys and DVD’s that Jake had.

To help announce their new home, I was sent a copy of The Wiggles DVD called The Wiggles: Sing a Song of Wiggles.

The Wiggles: Sing a Song of Wiggles is a collection of 32 classic nursery rhymes (a few I’ve never heard before but still great).  The costumes and sets in the DVD are wonderful and even though it will take awhile to get fully used to Sam instead of Greg, it really is a wonderful DVD.  I love that they are nursery rhymes so many of them are familiar and recognizable so we can all sing along, yes even Daddy.  And Abby really gets a kick out of it when we sit with her AND can sing along with the songs.  It’s not quite as fast moving and upbeat as the other Wiggles DVD’s we have, but I think that is the nature of using nursery rhymes, but they make up for it with the sets and costumes I think.  I even caught Jake watching it with interest.

I still have a crush on Anthony, but wow his teeth glow in the dark, I don’t remember them being that white!

Sprout

Sprout is the first 24-hour preschool destination available on TV, and they have announced that they will be the new exclusive U.S. television home to the most beloved family of entertainers in the world, The Wiggles. The Wiggles are the world’s #1 preschool entertainers, performing over 300 shows to more than 1.5 million fans since 2005 in the United States alone and are seen on TV in over 110 countries worldwide.

Don’t have Sprout?  Do you wish your service provider carried Sprout for you and your kids to enjoy?  Well Sprout has a campaign called Wiggles Please where you can go and enter your zip code and service provider and request that they carry Sprout in your area.  If enough people in your area request it, you just might find that Sprout gets added to your channel lineup!!!!!

The Wiggles

Also, if you have a Facebook account, head over to the Sprout Fan Page and enter the Wigglemania Facebook Contest for a chance to win a Nintendo Wii!
