The things kids say

The other night, Ed was getting Jake ready for bed.  Jake always takes a sippy cup of ice water with him to bed.  He used to want milk and in order to curb that, we let him take water and he’s not grown out of it.

Anyhow,  while Ed was at the fridge getting the milk Jake says “Daddy, I know what I want for lunch tomorrow.  It’s in the fridge.”

Ed said, “what do you want for lunch tomorrow?”

Jake said, “clams.”

“Huh, clams?” Ed said confused.

“Yes, clams,” Jake replied and opened the fridge.  He then pointed to a bag of left over pasta from the night before.

“Those are SHELLS, silly,” Ed said laughing.

You gotta love those moments.
