The mind of a 4 year old…

Today my son was busy spending a lot of time with some notebooks and a pencil. Part of the time he was stuck in his room for some infraction or another…I can’t even recall now. Anyhow, at one point I took a look at his notebooks and what I discovered was the cutest thing…

Jake writing
This reads:
Today is Thursday. Today mom cleans the house. Today I stay in my room until lunch and it is 10:47.

Jake note
This reads:
Dear Abigail, Dad is cutting the grass but I need to go. Dear Jake.

Seriously, reading these brings tears to my eyes! He’s growing up so fast. One day he’s peeing all over my floor and wall, the next day he’s writing sentences. Next thing I know he’ll be a teenager and trying to find out how to get rid of acne.

BTW, Is it normal for a 4 1/2 year old to be able to write like this?
