Teddy Grahams Trail Mix – a review

Teddy Grahams Trail Mix

My son has a seriously warped sense of what the whole point of mail is. We have received enough food and food samples in the mail that I really think he believes that is what the mail is for.

Well, the other day was no exception.

We received 2 boxes of Teddy Grahams Trail Mix in the mail from BzzAgent and he was very excited. You can read more about BzzAgent, what it is and how it works in an earlier post: Free Paid Surveys – BzzAgent: Word of Mouth Marketing.

The Teddy Grahams Trail Mix looks like a lot of tasty fun right from your first glance at the box. We received one box of each flavor:

  1. Bears & Bees
    • Teddy Grahams Chocolate Graham Snacks
    • Honey Maid Grahams Bees
    • Pretzels
    • Yogurt Flavored Raisins
  2. Bears & Cheese Crackers
    • Teddy Grahams Honey Graham Snacks
    • Pretzels
    • Raisins
    • Cheese Nips Crackers

My son was eager to try them so I gave him a small bowl of each kind and asked him to tell me which flavor he liked better. He returned a little while later, handed me both bowls and said, “you eat these.” That did not bode well for the Teddy Grahams, but when I looked he had left the pretzels in the Bears & Bees bowl and the pretzels and Cheese Nips in the Bears & Cheese Crackers bowl. I asked him which ones he had like better and all he really said was that he liked the Teddy Grahams.

Since he did not give me a very positive review I figured I had to try them for myself. So I did the same thing I did for my son and made 2 little bowls of each to sample. The first thing I noticed, which in hind-sight was the same for the bowl I gave Jake, was that there were no yogurt flavored raisins or regular raisins in either bowl, even though they are listed on the box. I looked inside each box and actually had to shake the boxes and dig around and found a couple of each in each box. I was pretty disappointed by that.

I also wasn’t too impressed by the flavor of the Teddy Grahams Trail Mix. The mix of sweet Teddy Grahams and salty pretzels promised good things but didn’t really deliver. Both were bland and dry and I desperately needed something to drink after eating the small amounts I had eaten.

In the end in our house, we are going to stick with the regular Teddy Grahams, we’ve always loved them and although the Teddy Grahams Trail Mix sounded like a great idea to us, it just was not a hit in our house.

    Veggie Mom,
    How funny about the ATM.
My son, when he asks for something and I tell him “I have no money” he responds, “yes you do you can use your credit card.” yeah….

Thanks for sharing! It’s funny how kids perceive things. My youngest still thinks that all you have to do to “earn” money is just go to the ATM machine! I’ve always been a big TG fan, BTW!
