(ENDED) The Summer of Snacking – Nestle Ice Cream at Sam’s Club & $500 freezer giveaway!

This giveaway has ended!  The winner is #946 Bonny Sallee.

Who doesn’t love ice cream?  With summer approaching, ice cream is one thing that makes EVERYONE in the family happy.  Ice cream really is the ideal summer snack.

But sometimes I think people shy away from enjoying ice cream at home during the warm summer months.  Maybe they are afraid it will melt before they will get it home.  Maybe they are afraid it will sabotage their attempts to look great in their swimsuit.  Maybe they are frustrated over the packaging, and have trouble pleasing the entire family.  Maybe traditional frozen ice cream treats are just too big for snacking.  Maybe they are concerned over the amount of space it will take up in their freezer.  No matter what the excuse is, I’m here to debunk it!

Myth #1: The ice cream will melt before you get home.

Fact: If you happened get a free freezer bag from Sam’s Club and Skinny Cow in January, you can take your ice cream home safe and secure in an insulated bag.  If not, many grocery stores sell freezer bags now, and I know that Sam’s Club actually has a brand of freezer bag in their seasonal section.  Otherwise, you can always bring a small cooler to ensure your ice cream stays frozen on the drive home.

Myth #2: Ice Cream is not diet friendly.

Fact: The Skinny Cow is a delicious low-fat treat that will not ruin a mom’s attempt at a swimsuit ready body.   In fact, some of The Skinny Cow treats only have 140 calories and they all taste great!  The Skinny Cow is an approved Best Life treat and on their website they provide WW Points values for all of their products.  Sam’s Club carries big 20 count boxes of The Skinny Cow, that’s almost enough to eat one every day for a month.  Better get two boxes!  Each Skinny Cow treat is individually wrapped.

Myth #3: There is not enough variety in the large packages.

Fact: The Original Drumstick (yum) is a family favorite, everyone loves it, but if you do have some fussy family members who want a little more excitement or variety in their Drumstick, Sam’s Club has an awesome variety pack of 16 Original Drumstick Sundae Cones – with a twist.  Each variety box comes with Vanilla, Vanilla Fudge and Vanilla Caramel cones.  That way they can stop complaining about what you buy and just enjoy it!  Each drumstick is individually wrapped.

Myth #4: Traditional frozen ice cream treats are too big.

Fact: Nestle has a BRAND NEW variety pack of snack sized treats with BIG fun and BIG taste for the entire family.  Sam’s Club carries the Nestle Snack Size variety pack that has 10 Lil’ Drums and 8 Dibs Snack Bags.  Perfectly sized for families with a lot of little hands, or just for a mom who likes the convenience of the snack size.   Each Lil’ Drum and Dibs snack bag is individually wrapped.

Myth #5: Ice cream takes up too much room in the freezer.

Fact: First of all, I believe there is ALWAYS enough room for ice cream.  Second, if you are completely freezer-space challenged, you have an opportunity to win a brand new upright freezer RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW so you have no excuse not to fill it with great Nestle treats.

I would incorporate these frozen treats while sitting around the pool on a hot summer day.

I love the Drumstick and my kids love Dibs. Hubby is so picky and the health nut so he would choose Skinny Cow ice cream treats.

#2 Ice cream is not diet friendly….Well, Nestle proves us wrong on that one with those Skinny Cow treats. I have actually tried them and they are great. However, I don’t know if eating 3 at one sitting is healthy. That’s just how I roll though.

    eeek…

Love #2 myth about ice cream is not diet friendly. When you eat the Skinny Cow items or any NEstle ice cream product in moderation it can be friendly to your diet. Although I do wish I could consume a whole box!
