Suave Style for the New Year

Last year during the Emmy’s, Suave generously provided my friends, family and I a way to experience their products in a fun and exciting way by letting me host a Suave Style Party and gave us all red carpet style using great Suave products.

In order to help ring in the New Year, and start 2010 with a bang, Suave again helped us to celebrate in style.

We had family.

We had friends.

We had food.

We had a hair stylist.

We had Suave.

And it all added up to a great evening to remember.

THE FOOD

I wanted chili.  And I got it!

Catering was provided by Sashah at The Chef’s Palette. Below was the menu.

Chili Bar to include:

  • Slow cooked beef chili with just the right amount of heat to agree with all taste preferences
  • Shredded cheese blend
  • Sliced jalapenos
  • Sweet and spicy chipotle mole
  • Sour cream
  • Roasted corn and poblano salsa
  • Fresh pico de gallo salsa
  • Guacamole
  • Tostitos “scoops” tortilla chips
  • Fresh baked cornbread
  • Fried flour tortillas with cinnamon sugar and toffee apple dip

As cool as everything looked, it tasted even better.  I was AMAZED at the flavor of the food, plus the presentation was just plain spectacular.  If you are anywhere near Chicago or Northwest Indiana and are looking for catering, you definitely need to call The Chef’s Palette.  The food was fresh, had a great taste, and all the extra touches to make it perfect.

THE STYLING PRODUCTS

Suave sent us four different types of styling products to use for the evening.

THE STYLIST

Our stylist for the evening was Beth from State of Mind Salon & Day Spa.

Beth was fantastic!  Nice, creative, patient and talented.

THE SWAG

Everyone got to go home with some Suave “swag” including shampoo, conditioner, and some people did get some styling products as well.

Thank you Suave for making the party possible and for showing us we can have professional style for less money with Suave Professionals.

  2. I have been using suave shampoo and conditioner for so long I can’t remember how many years. I never understood why everyone used those high priced brands because I always thought suave did as good or better job. I have a lot of hair to take care of too. I have worn it to my waist since I was a teenager. If you have hair that is hard to hold then you got to try there Freezing Spray it’s amazing. It’s the only hair spray that I found to hold my hair in place all day and night.
