(ENDED) Creativity for Kids Festive Felt Stocking craft kit – review & GIVEAWAY

#34 Jessica H.

I was recently sent a Christmas craft kit from Creativity for Kids to test out and review.  We rceeived the Holiday Memories Festive Felt Stocking.  My son loves to do crafts, and we have made it a traditional especially around Christmas to do crafts together and when he saw this one he got really excited.

The kit includes a large felt stocking, a mini felt stocking, a number of sheets of felt stickers in different festive shapes and designs, shiny rhinestones, and a tube of glitter glue.  The kit is for ages 5 and up.

We started by laying everything out and I made sure to show my son some of the design ideas on the box to give him some inspiration.  He wanted NO HELP from me, and set out to design the stockings himself.  He said the big one was for him and the little one was for his sister Abby.  I liked the idea that this was something he could pretty much do totally on his own.

You can see he did have a little bit of trouble with the glitter glue, so he asked me to write his name on it.  He was kind of upset over the mess he made but I talked him into the fact that it doesn’t matter.  He tried, and it’s pretty and shiny and just decoration, regardless if he couldn’t spell his name with the glue.  He seemed ok with that.

He is very proud of his stocking and we have them both hanging in our front stairwell.  I admit that I was surprised at how well the sticker have stayed on the stocking.  I wasn’t optimistic about they staying on felt but they have.

I’m pretty sure we’ll pull this out year after year and have great memories from it.
