(ENDED) Are you ready for some football? (giveaway)

Again this year my son is playing Pop Warner football.

Tackle football.

I mostly am over all my hangups and probably won’t get as many grey hairs as I did last year, but sometimes it does still concern me.  He seems to love it though.

For the last 3 weeks or so we have been going to his practices almost daily for 2 hours and today was his first game.  They don’t keep score, but his team is really good.  They scored 5 times (flags were thrown on 3 of them) and the other team didn’t even get close to the end zone.

During the game today, we sat on the sidelines rooting on our wild man and his team, and I got to try out my new favorite chair, the Sport-Brella Chair.  Last year during my son’s games you would often find me sitting UNDER the bleachers because sitting at a football field in August in Indiana is HOT HOT HOT.  This year I can sit on  the sidelines and not get burnt to a crisp because of of my new chair.

I don’t look happy over there sitting in my new Sport-Brella chair, but trust me, I am.  The shade of the umbrella kept me from getting anywhere near uncomfortable for the hour and fifteen minutes we sat watching the game.  I really like that you can switch the umbrella to either side and tilt and turn it to get just the right angle.  I’ve found that depending upon where the sun is, I can always get it to shade my upper body but sometimes it doesn’t shade my legs depending upon where the sun is compared to what I am facing towards.  But even with my legs in the sun, I was still very comfortable in the 90 degree sun.

I’ve used the chair twice so far and each time have been complimented on it. Once someone asked where to buy one because he was genuinely interested in it.  A lot of people who walk by simple stare, but I can tell they are interested in the Sport-Brella chair.  It stands out!

Overall the chair does what it was designed to do and does it well.  I do have trouble folding the chair and umbrella back down, it takes me a couple of minutes – literally.  I’m assuming that just comes with time and practice.  The chair only has one cup holder and it needs two.  I am used to putting my drink in one side and my phone and keys in the other, or my daughter likes to put her drink in one.  The zippered pocket in the front is nice, because I could put my keys in there, but I like easy access to my phone.

I have to be careful if it is windy out too, if the wind hits the umbrella just right it will tip it over if no one is sitting in it.  It also feels like the chair is a little big.  It sits a bit higher than our other chairs and while it certainly won’t keep me from sitting in it, I prefer a lower chair…my legs aren’t very long!
