Sick!

Abby has been sick the last couple of days and it has not been any fun! Jake never got sick as a baby and so this is sort of new territory for us. I will always wonder and likely regret (even though it was out of my control) that Abby ended up on formula.

Do ya think she looks sick?

She actually slept last night which shocked me. I was waking up every 1/2 hour expecting her to wake up but she didn’t. She had a fever last night too, not super high, but still, and it was gone this morning. Today she’s cranky and her nose is so stuffy and runny! BTW, that is snot all over her shirt.

I haven’t gotten anything done today. I’m going to need to make a to-do list so I don’t forget anything but I can’t find any pens! I have paper coming out of my ears though.

    Poor baby girl!!

As for the formula/breastmilk thing, seriously, I really would not beat yourself about it.

I was breastfed and was sick all the time. Neither of my parents were. Go figure.

My brother, who was adopted, spent the first 2 months of his life on Thorazine and Melaril trying to come off the Heroin his Birthmom was mainlining throughout her pregnancy and never had a drop of breast milk. He is to this day, never sick.

Thanks Sarah! I hate those bugs that keep coming back, hopefully this one goes away and stays away! She’s feeling a bit better today.

Staci, thank you! It’s so hard when they don’t understand. The worst part was her trying to drink her milk. She couldn’t figure out why she couldn’t breathe and that mad her MAD! She’s doing better though!

  6. Kim says:

Thank you Bridgette, she is doing better. Not 100% but better!

Thanks for the support Carole, she’s working on getting better and seemed a bit less cranky and stuffy today!

Pam, thank you, Abby seems to be getting better. She’s still all leaky in her nose but she played more and was less cranky today!
