She’s no baby

I was informed, rather matter-of-fact like, that my two year old daughter is not a baby.

She was tired, and fell down and hurt herself  so I was holding her like a baby.

I was trying to talk her into taking her nap 1/2 hour earlier and was rocking her and I called her my “baby”.

As I set her down I said it again and she said “no!”

Then she said “Not baby, Abby!”

Al-righty then!

She’s a big girl now, lol. It will be an exciting time for you in a few more years. :D

  2. Kris says:

Well of course she’s not a baby, mom. She’s a big girl and you should realize it.

I love the looks my 3 year old gives me when I call her baby.

  3. She is so precious but she has to know she will always be your baby no matter how old she is. The independent 2s are killing me here.

LOL Don’t you just love the new found independence? NOT! Kaydee is just a few months ahead and let me tell you, it just gets worse. This girl has a mouth on her that she surely didn’t get from me! ;-P

Cat, I have noticed alot of BOY things and potty talk coming out of her mouth. It drives me nuts, but I know that it is just a phase…for both of them. Jake is doing it and she copies EVERYTHING he says and does.

  5. What a determined young lady! You are going to have your hands REALLY full in aout 10 years. Never mind the terrible twos.

What a cute picture! She can deny it all she wants…

Girls are just something else aren’t they! I can’t believe how different Lexi is compared to her brothers! It is fun but it goes by way too fast! I miss my babies!

Too funny! My 6 year old told me the other day, “You know Mom, I’m not a little kid anymore. I’m kinda like a grown up.” Which is funny, because I was just thinking to myself, “I’m not a grown up. I’m kinda like a little kid….”

Too CUTE! Noah calls all little kids babies. When we would go to the park there would be other kids there and he would say Hi Baby. The kids would say I’m not a baby. I would have to explain to them that he calls everyone baby cause he doesn’t know. These kids were like 5 or so. I could tell they took offense to it. Most of them understood though.

She definitely has a mind of her own! LOL!
