I was informed, rather matter-of-fact like, that my two year old daughter is not a baby.
She was tired, and fell down and hurt herself so I was holding her like a baby.
I was trying to talk her into taking her nap 1/2 hour earlier and was rocking her and I called her my “baby”.
As I set her down I said it again and she said “no!”
Then she said “Not baby, Abby!”
Al-righty then!

Haha well I guess she told you huh? Too cute though. Loving her longer hair. She is looking rather big girlish, Mama!
haha that’s cute. I use to baby sit for a boy named andrew and I would say come here baby or something like that and he one day said to me I am not a baby my name is Andrew … yeah he is in middle school now – not a baby anymore for sure!
Aww how precious. Very cute!
Smart girl… right until she gets hurt or wants mama’s love…then she can revert for a while.:)
I have a two year old daughter who is saying the same thing…until she wants something.(lol)
They learn how to work the charm so young!
Your Baby(I’m sorry)… I mean Abby is super cute!
I get that here all the time. She tells me that she’s a big kid and pees in the potty. *sigh* they grow up so fast!!
I remember when my (now 13-yr old) was 4. He seemed very grown up one day and we were having an involved discussion at lunch. All of a sudden he just fell off his chair! And then I remembered 4 is not that grown up!
I’m glad my 3yo is still happy to be my baby. I’m not ready for the “I not a baby” rebuttal yet.
I am so not looking forward to when my daughter tells me that. Hopefully someday they’ll realize that no matter what they’ll ALWAYS be our babies.
aww what a cutie pie! They grow up so fast.
