See Kai Run is “urban footwear for first steps.” The company was founded in 2004 by a mom who saw the need for flexible shoes that her 2 year old son could wear outdoors.

Twice a year, I design a new collection of 15-20 designs. Our designs are sophisticated and classic with modern twists sprinkled throughout. And most importantly, our shoes are healthy for developing feet. The soles are made of extremely flexible rubber which is great for outdoor use while allowing the foot to flex in all the right places. They’re also made of butter soft leather with a breathable leather lining and padded collars for comfort. Finally, See Kai Run shoes are easy to get on and off with Velcro closures that ensure a great fit.
See Kai Run’s original shoe line, simply called, See Kai Run has a flexible rubber sole suitable for outdoors and they have sizes from 6 months to 3 years old. Their Eleven line is similar to the See Kai Run line but for ages 3-8, and their Smaller line are soft-soled for babies 0-18 months.
Recently, I was sent a pair of shoes for Abby from the Smaller line. I selected the Nancy style because they looked so darn cute!
Here are some shots of the shoes as we got them and Abby wearing them:
The Nancy style from See Kai Run is made of sheepskin leather and suede. They have a single suede velcro closure and a soft suede sole with non-skin rubber pads. Abby has been wearing them for a couple of months now and they still look great and are obviously very durable. They have nicely handled Abby learning to walk and then finally walking and have stood up well to her chewing on them as well!
I love these little shoes. They are easy to get on and off her and although she has figured out the velcro, she doesn’t mind having them on. They protect her feet while still allowing the flexibility that an early walker needs. We get complimented on them all the time and I am going to be sad when she outgrows them.
