Say “Boo” to the flu!

boo to the fluSay “Boo!” to the Flu is a program sponsored by Families Fighting Flu, Visiting Nurse Association of America, and The Clorox Company to help keep families protected from the flu. The goal is to educate people about the dangers of the flu and about prevention.

I had no idea about these statistics:

For children, the flu can mean more than just “achoo.” In fact, influenza is the leading cause of vaccine preventable deaths for children. It is estimated that each year in the U.S., nearly 100 children die from the flu and more than 20,000 children less than five years old are hospitalized due to the illness.

For more information about how to protect your family, visit Say “Boo!” to the Flu. They have personal and expert advice, information on teaching your family about germs, recommendations from the CDC and more!
