RIDEMAKERZ Build Your Own Ride – $75 Gift Card GIVEAWAY

THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED AND COMMENTS ARE CLOSED

RIDEMAKERZA couple of weeks ago I was invited to a special event by MomSelect with other bloggers at a local RIDEMAKERZ store. It was a wonderful opportunity to spend some time with some great blogging moms, learn about a great new product, and meet Maria Bailey, the founder of BSM Media and MomSelect.

RIDEMAKERZThe RIDEMAKERZ experience is similar to Build-A-Bear, and is actually backed by the same folks, but instead of building a bear, you build a “ride.” You pick your body style from a wide range of choices, your chassis style (street or monster), your tires, your rims and so on. Then you put it together and add some custom touches such as decals, and other fun stuff and you have your very own custom “ride!” You can even make it radio controlled!

RIDEMAKERZAll of the bloggers that were invited to RIDEMAKERZ got to make their very own “ride” and we got to bring our kids and husbands too so Jake, Ed and I each made our own “ride!” It was a fun experience and not solely designed for boys, they had some options to appeal to us girls too! Overall it was very enjoyable and we all had a great time. We were each given a $75 gift card to build our “ride.” Ed and I went conservative and we let Jake go crazy. When we checked out I think we paid less than $20 of our own money. We added radio control to all 3 cars and each of us did add some extras, but Jake got his totally decked out and upgraded everything. You can easily get a nice, customized, radio controlled “ride” with a few extras for $75. A nice thing about RIDEMAKERZ, though, is the ability to modify your car at any time which means you can always go back in and add anything at any time. Even the radio control option can be added later.

RIDEMAKERZSince most of us are on a budget, when you go to RIDEMAKERZ, make sure you understand what is included with the basic car price and what is not so you don’t go upgrading something that isn’t as important to you. For instance, I upgraded my sound chip under the misunderstanding that I had to pick a sound chip from the special choices they showed me, when it reality, it comes with one (a sampler), I actually purchased an upgrade. $3 isn’t that much money until you’ve added 10 things that cost $3 each! If you must stick to a budget, I recommend keeping the basic sound, tires and rims and splurging on decals and some of the other things that you can adorn the body of the car with.

So, we left RIDEMAKERZ with 3 awesome radio controlled cars and a special bonus that I get to give away to one of you! RIDEMAKERZ gave me a $75 gift card that you can use at any of their stores. And never fear, if you don’t have a RIDEMAKERZ near you…yet…you can redeem the gift card online as well!

Here are some photos of our “rides:”

I actually donated my “ride” to the Household Pantry at the First United Methodist Church of Lowell, the same charity who received toys as a part of our Because It’s Christmas Kids & Charity Giveaway. The Household Pantry gave the car to a needy mom who will be giving the car to her son for Christmas. I am told she was very excited to receive it!
