Resources for Savvy Parents

If you look in our right sidebar, you will notice something new under “parenting resources” if you scroll down just a little bit. It is a quiz by the Savvysource for Parents and is currently sponsored by Leapfrog.

The Savvysource for Parents was started by parents who were looking for resources on how to navigate and gain admission to preschools. Their website now contains information and reviews on preschools across the country, toys, books, camps, classes and more.

The quiz widget is described as follows:

a diagnostic tool for parents to figure out where their children between the ages of 2-6 are developmentally. Based on results of this “quiz” parents, we then recommend books and toys and free activities for their child that are developmentally appropriate

Chris, thanks for stopping by! My son is starting preschool this fall but we are in such a small town that we easily enrolled him at a local church who has a preschool program. But it this is a great resource because most times it is not that easy!

I wish I had known about this resource a few years back. I have 2 already in prep school and the 3rd is in elementary school. I’ve lived the whole preschool admission thing so many times (had 2 into school and then we moved and I had to start all over!). Anyway, any resource on that topic is helpful.

I’m so glad you came by and commented on our blog. It’s not often we fing blogs with more than one blogger and you guys seem to run yours similar to ours. I’ll be back for advice soon, I’m sure.
