Playlist: Martina McBride – CD review

I have always liked Martina McBride. Not only her songs, but she seemed to be one of those genuinely sweet and nice people that when you meet them you feel like you have known them for years.

I had an opportunity recently to review a copy of Martina’s new CD called “Playlist” and there was no way I could refuse, especially because it contains some of my all-time favorite Martina songs.

The CD “Playlist” contains performances that have made Martina McBride “one of the premier musical artists of our time.” The songs on the CD are ones that have changed lives, songs that were hits, tracks that are out-of-print and fan favorites that everyone loves – basically the songs that make Martina who she is.

The tracks on the CD are as follows:
1. My Baby Loves Me
2. Wild Angels
3. Safe In The Arms Of Love
4. There You Are (Soundtrack Remix)
5. Happy Girl
6. It’s My Time
7. Wrong Again (Acoustic Version)
8. Show Me
9. I Love You
10. How I Feel
11. This One’s For The Girls (Mainstream Mix)
12. Cryin’ Time
13. Independence Day
14. God Bless America

My all-time favorite song on the album has to be “My Baby Loves Me” because it is one of the classic Martina songs and just brings back some great memories from my past. And who can resist “This One’s For the Girls” and “Independance Day?” The rest of the songs are great too, many of which I recognize and a few that I don’t, but all of them add up to the perfect Martina McBride Playlist.

In addition to being a great collection of Martina McBrides songs, this CD is actually eco-friendly! The case contains no plastic, is made from 100% recycled material and is 100% recyclable. Liner notes, photos and more are included on a PDF file on the CD itself in order to prevent and wasted paper.

You can purchase Martina’s new CD at Wal-Mart.com or Amazon.com

Thanks for posting about this. I am going to Walmart for my weekly visit and I think I might stop by the electronics area and pick this up. I love Martina but don’t typically buy CD’s from anyone because I only end up liking 2-3 of the songs on there.

That’s an awesome compilation if you don’t already have Martina CDs. (shamefully raises hand here). My fave is Independence Day.

When I listened to the CD it was the first time I ever heard of My Baby Loves Me and I really enjoyed it! My fave song is I Love You. Too bad Valentine wasn’t on there.

    Great review =)
