Parents Magazine Toys – Look-at-Me Camera

For his birthday from his grandparents, Jake receive a kids digital camera. I use my camera daily and both of my kids always want to touch it, and now, with Jake having his own camera, Abby is especially interested in it.

Luckily now we may have a solution to the problem with the Parents Magazine Look-at-Me Camera.

Parents Look-at-Me Camera

Here is some info about the toy from the press release:

Strike a pose! If there’s one thing toddlers love, it’s imitating grownups – pretending is how little ones make sense of the world around the,. The ultimate in imaginary play, this sleek, “just-like-mom’s” camera takes a whole new approach to hamming it up: a realistic shutter sound offers endless fun for a pint-sized photographer while a big fish-eye mirrored lens on the front of the camera engages friends lucky enough to be the subject. The vogue-inducing disco soundtrack means mini-models will never tire of saying “cheese.” (Price: $15. Available at Target. Ages 12 months+)

The camera is the perfect size for little hands, has a button for “snapping” a picture that makes realistic shutter sounds and lights up the flash. A second button that plays phrases and shows a red light to prepare the subject for the photo and a third button that plays fun disco music that thankfully is not overly loud. The “fish-eye” mirrored lens is not quite as clear as they show in the picture, but it’s good enough for a toddler to enjoy. The retail price of $15 is nice, but it’s even nicer that Target sells it for $9.99 according to their website (you can only buy it in Target stores, however.)

Overall, this little toy camera would make a great stocking stuffer for Christmas this year!

VW bug, my son loves the Fisher Price one his Grandma got him. Unfortunately his pictures are NEVER flattering when he takes them of me. The angle he takes them from are FRIGHTENING!

  3. The price is right for sure. And if it keeps them from playing with your expensive camera it’s sure worth buying. Happy Holidays~!

Sure beats the $45 I spent on the Fisher-Price camera I bought the boys 2 years ago… Though they do like those cameras. ;-)
