Organize your family with DoughMain

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of DoughMain.com for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

There are two things that most families would probably say they struggle with in their daily lives: organizing things that everyone in the family has going on and teaching financial responsibility. There are a number of resources out there for organizing your life and there are some options out there for instilling financial responsibility in your kids, but for the first time a tool called doughmain.com has brought both of those things together in one place. Where they belong! DoughMain has 3 main tools:

Allowance Tool

DoughMain has setup their allowance tool to track not only monetary rewards such as allowances but also privileges as well. Through a virtual catalog and “Dough Points” virtual dollars, they have a unique system for making sure you can customize the tools to your family’s needs.

Chore Tracker

The DoughMain chore tracker is very customizable and allows you to set detailed chore calendars for each child. You can assign “Dough Points” to chores which links them to the allowance tool and allows them to redeem their virtual currency for privileges if you choose.

Online Family Calendar

The DoughMain family organizer tools let you color-code each member of the family and track every activity in their schedules. You can manage it from your favorite mobile device too!

DoughMain is very versatile for the busy family and I love the idea that you can track all of those things in one single place. We have been looking for a way to combine chores with a monetary and privilege based reward system and my son is at the perfect age to start teaching him how to track his money and “spend” wisely. We also desperately need a calendar, we are always forgetting each others events and activities.

In addition to the great tools, DoughMain also has 3 age-relevant games to help children learn and reinforce financial responsibility in a fun way. Check them out: TheFunVault.com, SandDollarCity.com and IRuleMoney.com. Each one of these if a different financial responsibility game that can really drive home the lessons while the kids think they are having fun.

DoughMain is free to use and if you sign up with the reference code DOUGH, you will be entered into a contest for a $500 gift card!

I’ve just begun using DoughMain, but take a look at the chore tracker I have setup for my son. What is great is that I create it and he has a separate login to check off what he has completed. It then allows me to go in and mark his items as accepted or require him to re-do a chore that may not have been completely to our standards.
