New Kid in Town, Wanna Cupcake?

It’s funny how sometimes things happen by coincidence. The other day I was thinking about inviting another “accidental mommy” to come join our little team here at “What’s That Smell?” and then I get an email asking me if we ever considered taking on a 3rd blogger. Kinda creepy. Since I’m one for believing coincidences are more than just random, I figured why not.
So….. can someone whose name just screams “girly-girl” actually be an “Accidental Mommy”? Only time will tell, but I will say this…she mentioned food twice so far so she’s definitely earned herself some points! -Kim

Introducing……..
Tiffany:

Can anyone remember the feeling you had in 4th grade, when you were the new kid who came into class after the year had already started?  The “cool” kids had already been established and sat together in the coveted desks at the back of the classroom.  The teacher tells you to “choose a desk,” but the only available seat is at the very front of the room, next to the kid that picked his nose and ate glue.  Not exactly the best place to be to score those cool points, eh?  The teacher introduces you to the class and asks you to tell the class a little bit about yourself.  Yep, that’s kinda what posting for the first time in a blog feels like.  Here I am 20 years later and my hobbies are still reading and hanging out with friends.  The only thing that has changed is that I’m married with a 10 month old that likes to tear the pages out of my books and eat them so now my reading selection is limited to mostly oversized books made of cardboard that can withstand the bite marks and lethal swats of an infant nearing the toddler age.

As the new kid on the block, I’m here to bake you cupcakes and bribe you to be my friend.  :)  I have plenty of stories to share about my kid, my husband, my life, my business… I look forward to getting to know you and you getting to know me.  As a recovering corporate-ladder-climbing woman myself, let’s hope that Kim and Lori let me hang out in their “cool kid club” long enough to make a good impression and convince them that my macaroni and cheese recipe is THE BEST EVER and making it for their friends/family will make them instant celebrities.  Do you think the strawberry/saliva mixture forever stained on my left shoulder will be held against me?

Wow! Thanks for the warm welcomes! I knew the cupcakes would win ya’ll over! ;) Recipe coming soon… first I must find my cookbook and I know exactly where it is – nestled safely among the glass bowls and coffee mugs, somewhere among the teepee of boxes in my dad’s garage…

Hi Tiffany! Welcome to 4th grade! Kim is the kid sitting in front, not picking her nose, but commenting on the classroom odors. She might have eaten glue (she has a thing about white food), but I’m not sure. :>

I like anyone who will make me cupcakes!
