My Wonderful Walls is actually a newer company and had recently contacted me about advertising on What’s That Smell? and they brought to me a proposal where in lieu of paying us to display their ad on our site, they would donate one of their great canvas murals each month to a worthy charity.
How could we resist?
My Wonderful Walls is looking for other bloggers who would like to participate in their program that they have coined “Growing Through Giving” – helping them grow their business by bringing cheer to children who need it most. Here is some basic information about their program:
We have and are continually developing relationships with organizations that work with either medically or physically challenged children. Including TC Thompsons Children’s hospital, and individual bloggers on the topic such as 5 Minutes for Special Needs. We use these relationships to give our personalized murals to kids with special needs or to decorate children’s hospital rooms. How it works is if someone puts our banner and text link on their home page we give a canvas mural a month or bi monthly in their name. The idea is: growing through giving. It helps us grow as a business and brings a little cheer to children who need it. Sites that are pr 3 or lower we donate bi monthly – sites that are pr 4 or higher we give monthly. And we will continually let supporters know where their murals are going with letters of thanks and pictures.
The first set of murals has been hung at TC Thompson’s Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga on behalf of What’s That Smell? and other participating bloggers. Below is a photo from this first install.
As you can imagine, My Wonderful Walls can only make so many donations a month as their business grows. The more they grow, the more they can donate. So I encourage everyone to visit My Wonderful Walls and place their banners and links on your site. You can, of course, let Stephanie know that you have placed the links and if you are interested in participating in their Mural Give program, they will add you to the list and before long I am certain they will grow enough to be able to donate murals on behalf of every participating blogger.
