I absolutely love this time of year. As fall approaches we begin the wonderful countdown to Halloween, then Thanksgiving and finally Christmas. I’ve always loved Christmas but with two young children, it has taken on a completely new meaning for me.
One of the things I really look forward to is enjoying the holiday movies, TV programs and specials. From Halloween to Christmas there are some really great ones and as my kids get older I can’t wait to share and appreciate those great programs with them.
When it comes to family friendly holiday movies, you can’t beat Disney. Who doesn’t love seeing their favorite Disney characters in snow-filled adventures or experiencing the joys of Christmas with them? As an adult these movies bring back memories from my childhood of enjoying classic holiday movies and help me create new memories for and with my kids.
On September 29th, Disney is releasing two classic Disney tales on DVD for you to add to your library just in time for Christmas.
The first is:
Disney Animation Collection 7: Mickey’s Christmas Carol
From the packaging:
Celebrate the holidays with Mickey’s Christmas Carol, a beloved classic short film that is now part of the Disney Animation Collection! Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and many more of your favorite characters join the cast in this delightfully charming adaptation of a classic holiday tale. Ebeneezer Scrooge (Scrooge McDuck) is far too greedy to understand that Christmas is the time for kindness and generosity. So, with the guidance of some wise ghosts (with Goofy and Jiminy Cricket), and the examples set by his clerk Bob Cratchit (Mickey Mouse) and nephew Fred (Donald Duck), Scrooge learns how to embrace the true spirit of the season. Each volume in the Disney Animation Collection series is packed with classic Disney short films that will bring laughter and merriment into your family’s home.
Mickey’s Christmas Carol is a classic film based upon a classic story. You can’t go wrong with this one! Plus the DVD also has three addition bonus short films included: Pluto’s Christmas Tree, The Small One and Santa’s Workshop. 64 minutes of great Disney entertainment.
You can buy Mickey’s Christmas Carol starting on September29th for $19.99 (retail) or you can pre-order it from Amazon.com for $14.99 and take advantage of their “Pre-Order Price Guarantee”.
Winnie the Pooh: Seasons of Giving
