Am I too old for a major life change?

Because I really, really think I want to become a vampire.

I just finished reading the last book in the Twilight series and wow.  I never expected to get as involved in them as I have.  Honestly I thought the series was for kids, but they all were captivating and really fantastic stories to read.  Not many things can get me so absorbed that I dream about it and I certainly haven’t read 4 long books in 2 weeks in a very long time.

Breaking Dawn

I wonder if there will be any more books….

Cause it’s like a drug.

I did the same thing. Thought they were for teens, read them in 2 weeks, would dream about it, but I also started feeling like I was thinking like Bella! I was slightly obsessed!

    • Kim says:

I dreamed about it to. Whole new stories about them. I know some people write fan fiction…if I could remember my dreams and write them down it would be pretty good stuff I think LOL

  2. Have not even read the article yet but just want to say ME TOO! ME TOO! I want to become a vampire too and no you are not too old!

Okay now that I have read I completely agree with you, they are awesome books and I could not quit reading them once I got started. Also another commenter mentioned it but in June a new Novella is coming out and it is from the point of view of a lesser character in Eclipse, that Victoria had made into a vampire. I have read somewhere that Stephenie Meyers won’t release the one from Edwards point of view title Rising Sun because of it already being leaked online somewhere.

    • Kim says:

You made me laugh with the “me too” LOL

I am totally going to scour the web now for the one from Edward’s point of view!

  3. Lucy says:

My friends eat, sleep and live this series. I have not gotten into it to much but they are slowly drawing me in.

    • Kim says:

      Lucy,

Let them draw you in. I was skeptical. I fought it even though everyone around me was talking about it.

Although the good thing about waiting like I did…you can read all 4 books without waiting! Plus the 1st 2 movies.

  4. Henrietta says:

I LOVED this series too and absolutely ate them up – read all 4 in less than a week because I couldn’t pry my eyes away from them! I hear there’s a new novella coming out, I think the one that’s from Edwards’ perspective r something.. an excerpt was on Stephanie Meyers website while back. Or I may not know what I’m talking about :)

I don’t even want to see the movies, I don’t think the way it played out in my head can be topped!

    • Henrietta says:

and I obviously cannot type, I’m going to bed now…

    • Kim says:

I saw the first 2 movies so far (after reading each book) and I enjoyed them but it’s not that same as getting lost in the books. I actually watching them over a few days, pausing in between and it didn’t bug me like it did when I had to put the book down…I wasn’t “jonesing” for it like I was with the books.

  5. Nina Say says:

You are my soul mate :)

I dragged my husband into this series and I think we’ve listened to each audio book like 5 or 6 times each.

I am SOOO happy to have another person on the twilight bandwagon.

I wonder how they will do the “big night” pillow biting scene in the movie? :-0?

    • Kim says:

Hahaha! I’m glad the library didn’t have the book that I originally went in for and ended up leaving with Twilight.

I tried listening to the audio of New Moon but couldn’t do it. The voice reading it was NOT Bella’s (in my mind) and it made it difficult to concentrate.

  6. Cat says:

I was actually a little sad when I finished the books. I really wish she’d do a follow up series about the daughter.

    • Kim says:

I was sad too…I need more. I don’t care who it is about LOL. Just more. A whole book about Edward and Bella going to Charlie’s funeral in 30 years…it doesn’t matter!!!

      More please.

  7. Amy says:

OH – tip, don’t buy another book by the same author..just not the same. You can borrow the other one I have if you would like..

    • Kim says:

I saw that she had other books and was wondering if I would be let down. I think this STORY. These CHARACTERS are so unique that she can’t live up to it.

  8. Amy says:

Weren’t you reading the last book slow bceause you knew it was ending? I know I did! I didn’t think I was going to like the series hearing about it but I read them all before the movies came out. I agree the movies are alright but nothing compares to the story we create in our own heads..which is why I think the movies have been just alright..

    • Kim says:

It’s funny because I didn’t intentionally read it slower but it did take me longer to read…I think it was my subconscious.

I definitely think that our own imaginations add more to it than the movie can provide.

  9. Rhea says:

Rob – the movies are LAME compared to the books!!

Kim – if you find someone to turn you into a vampire, send them my way because I wanna be one, too! LOL

  10. Rob says:

I have never read the books but I have watched the first two movies and thought they were pretty good.

    • Kim says:

I enjoyed the movies but not as much as the books. What is interesting to me is that after reading Twilight I had an image of Edward and Bella in my head and they were NOT how they looked in the movie. But AFTER watching the movie, as I read each book, I pictured the Edward and Bella from the movie…
