Why my laughter woke my daughter up at 11pm…

She was neked.

Completely.

Asleep.

In her bed.

So I laughed.

Out loud.

And she woke up.

The end.

Seriously though, Abby had some sort of virus or allergic reaction on Sunday evening. She had hives all over, her eyes were all puffy and itchy and she was miserable. We could not reach our doctor (shouldn’t his answering service have known he was on vacation?) to see if we could give her something, so she had to suffer through the itchies.  She fell asleep normally, or so we thought.

Around 11pm on Sunday we heard her making noises in her sleep, and they weren’t her usual noises, so I tip-toed in to check on her – and busted out laughing when I saw her curled up in a ball in nothing but her birthday suit.  Her pajamas and diaper were on the floor.

It’s funny right?

Not so funny was that she was covered in her own pee.

Awww. Poor thing. My son did something similar (sans the sickies) over Thanksgiving. I sent him upstairs to put on his PJ’s and found him passed out in his birthday suit on his bed one pant leg on…

  7. LOL, that must have been a sight! just proves that you have to a sense of humor about raising children. otherwise you’d be screaming/cursing/crying yourself. I know you are putting this story in the vault. :D

  8. Amanda says:

Yep, definitely funny. You would have woken her up when you had to change the sheets and clean her up anyway.

  9. Kailani says:

That is pretty funny . . . but not if you’re the one who has to clean up the mess in the middle of the night. I know, I’ve been there. :-)

  10. Oh!!! That is funny! But, you’re right…not funny that she was covered in pee.
