Lansinoh, beyond breastfeeding – review and GIVEAWAY

THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED AND ENTRIES ARE CLOSED, PLEASE CHECK OUT ONE OF OUR OTHER GREAT GIVEAWAYS OR SUBSCRIBE TO RECEIVE NOTICE OF FUTURE GIVEAWAYS

I breastfed my son so I am very familiar with Lansinoh products because I used their Lanolin cream exclusively.

Recently I was asked if I would review 2 of Lansinoh’s other products, their Diaper Rash Ointment and their Clean & Condition Cloths. Well, I didn’t even know they had other products so I jumped at the chance. With a 10 month old we go through wipes and ointment like CRAZY!

I was sent a 3oz tube of Lansinoh Diaper Rash Ointment and a 70 count pack of Lansinoh Clean & Condition Cloths.

Lansinoh products

Lansinoh Diaper Rash Ointment:
Lansinoh Diaper Rash Ointment contains the following 3 ingredients in unique blends that make it different from all the others:
*Lansinoh HPA® Brand Lanolin
*Microfine Zinc Oxide
*Dimethicone

The first thing I noticed about the ointment was the scent, or should I say, the lack of scent. It smells pure and natural and nothing like other diaper rash ointments. The second thing I noticed was the color and the texture. It appears white and the texture is smooth and not greasy but it rubs on clear and does not leave a white mess on my fingers like other diaper rash creams do. Plus it actually went on her bottom with little effort rather than trying to remain stuck to my finger. I was very impressed by this because I always seem to walk away from a diaper change with cream lodged in my nail bed because it is so thick or cleaning it up off the floor because it is too runny. The Lansinoh product was ideal! Abby is not prone to getting rashes so I use creams and ointments as preventatives and this one did its job. Combine the triple protection that protects skin and promotes healing with the ease of application and the fact that it is hypoallergenic, fragrance free and preservative free and you’ve got yourself a wonderful product!

Lansinoh Clean & Condition Cloths:
Lansinoh Clean & Condition Cloths are designed for breastfed babies who are generally changed more frequently than formula fed babies. They contain Lansinoh® Brand Lanolin to “provide extra care and protection for dry, chaffing skin in the diaper area” and are made with a gentle formula for more frequent use.

The first thing I noticed about these wipes was the smell. They are so fresh and light and I was pleasantly surprised when I first opened the package. Abby is formula fed and not breast fed, but I LOVE the way these wipes work. When I wiped, they cleaned. Fully. Not leaving anything behind in the area I just wiped. I use fewer of these for a messy diaper change than I do of my usual wipes. They texture of the wipes combined with the wetness of them is just perfect and they work fantastic.

These are honestly my new favorite products and will be replacing the diaper rash ointment and baby wipes that I used to buy.

I always make a breastfeeding bag for my friends who I know are planning on trying to nurse and it always includes Lansinoh products! I buy a cute trendy diaper bag and put a copy of the Dr. Sears Breastfeeding book in it. I buy a box of the nursing pads and open it up. Inside the box they put a sample pack of the cleansing cloths and a small pack of breastmilk bags. I put those in the diaper bag along with all the nursing pads (which are individually wrapped or I wouldn’t open the box). I also put a tube of the breast ointment in it because it really helped me out when I first started nursing. If I had to choose one, I would say the ointment is the best gift because it really helped ease the pain the first few weeks which I think helps lead to nursing success!!
