It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no…it’s a NAP!

Ladies and gentleman (ok mostly ladies) we had a unique phenomenon occur in our house today.

My daughter took a nap.

And it was longer than 20 minutes.

And it was in her own bed.

And for almost 2 1/2 hours I sat around doing absolutely nothing expecting her to wake up any minute.

So…

I got nothing done, but WHO CARES!

She took a NAP.

At least I think that’s what it was. I haven’t actually seen one in quite awhile.

Below is a photo of Abby sleeping. Not today (what kind of nut would go into the bedroom of a napping baby and take a picture?) but from a few weeks ago when she fell asleep where she wasn’t supposed to.

I love those long naps. I’m lucky. My son has been a good napper since he was 4 months old. He’s 3 1/2 now, and people keep telling me he’ll give them up soon. But he still needs them. He get real cranky if he misses his nap. I hope she keeps napping for you. It’s a nice break in the middle of the day for mom too.

Oh, how precious! Yay for the nap! How old is she? My babies were never good nappers until they started getting mobile. I feel your pain – I know vividly how hard those no-nap months are.
