Have you ever had one of those days where you thought that your kids were on a mission to drive you insane?
A day where no amount of reason dampens the storm of frustration brewing with the 5 year old when he can’t accomplish something?
A day where no amount of attention or comfort soothes the 16 month old when she cries for no apparent reason?
A day where even the dog has decided to torment you? He’s all pacing and whining and smelly.
If ever I fit the mold – accidental mommy – it was today. I desperately needed instructions and the convent sounds wonderful right now. And I’m not even Catholic. But I used to be. Does that count?
Actually, I should write the instructions.
step 1: ONE MELT-DOWN AT A TIME PLEASE!
And right now, it’s my turn.

Sounds like you were at my house this week. I have the perfect cure for you!….
I’ve got a shiny new baby that will be happy to join your family until she’s 18. Her cries will drown out the whining of all other children. ;-)
Cat,
I love shiny new babies…especially when I hand them back to their mommies for screaming and diaper purposes. LOL!
I soooo understand! The good news is that luckily days like this don’t last for eternity. : )))
Oh I feel you on this one totally!
I’m right there with you. dinner and drinks, my place, tomorrow night.
That gives you enough time to drive down here, right? :)
I feel for you! My dogs have been on a mission to drive me bananas lately. How dare the wind blow or the mailman deliver mail. Sheesh! lol
Oh…i feel your pain!
And that my friend is why the Good Lord gave someone the inspiration to invent Duct Tape!
Of course I jest (on paper anyway!)
Well it’s better to get it all over with in one day and then have the rest of the week calmer… Too bad it never works like that…
I definitely know days like that. I’m just glad that they don’t last forever.
been there done that. tomorrows a new day.
