Our Holiday Taste of Sam’s Club experience – TRY!

Today was the opening day for the Holiday Taste of Sam’s Club and my kids and I were there not long after it started around 11:30am. We usually eat lunch right around then so it was perfect timing. We grabbed a drink from the concession area (I promised Jake an orange drink) and then headed out in search of FREE SAMPLES!

Before we discovered any samples, we found toys.

Jake found a couple he wants…

He did also find something that he wanted to buy (they had 3 different sets, he picked the safari one) for Abby for Christmas so we quickly put it on the bottom of the cart and she was none the wiser.

The first sample we found was for some sweet almonds. Jake tried them, and Abby complained that she didn’t get any so we moved quickly in search of something for her to “try”.

The next sample we found was for for a green bean casserole and it was a HUGE hit with both of my kids, and it smelled great!

We then moved around the store and sampled crackers and cheese, meatballs, some sparkling apple cider, cinnamon rolls and cheesecake.  We skipped a couple of booths such as the buffalo hot wings, pork loin and a few others.  We missed out on the ham and mashed potatoes, they had to make more and we didn’t make it back there.  My kids enjoyed everything they tasted, especially the cheesecake.

Throughout our whole trip, Abby kept saying “try” demanding to be given more samples.  Here she is demanding to try more.

At the end of our trip, I asked Jake (with a little coaching) to tell us a little about his Taste of Sam’s Club experience on camera.

Overall we actually made one purchase based upon our sampling, a 3-bottle pack of the sparkling cider but I’m pretty sure we’ll be buying the meatballs and the cheesecake we sampled when I go back to Sam’s Club next week.

If you are interested in sampling the wonderful Sam’s Club Holiday offerings before you buy and serve them, the Holiday Taste of Sam’s Club runs THIS Saturday & Sunday (11/21 & 11/22) from 11am-6pm at your local store.  For more details, and a FREE one-day pass to Sam’s Club for the weekend, check out the Holiday Taste of Sam’s Club guide.

      Thank you!

Yeah the cheese roll looked weird…I wasn’t sure exactly what else was in it and I’m a picky eater. That’s why I tried to get my son to try it.

I did see Emma’s video, and all you pics on Twittet. Too funny!
