Him too?

I’m really disappointed about the David Letterman sex scandal that he admitted to on his show the other day. I don’t watch Letterman regularly but I do occasionally, and I have memories from my high school and college years that sort of revolve around Letterman (hi Chris).

He’s like the last guy I would have suspected of this. In part because he’s no Brad Pitt or George Clooney, but also there was always something about him that made him seem humble, honest and beyond reproach.

Obviously, he’s simply human, but it’s just weird how sad it makes me.

ITA with Rhea on this one!

I hadn’t heard about it until now. It’s sad how when you become famous your life is so public. I’ve never been a big fan anyway….

  3. Now, I agree with Rhea… I think it is once again some scumbag in the media trying to make a buck (or 2 million, to be precise) off some celebrity. I think David Letterman did the right thing in this instance, he turned the tables on the guy. I feel sorry for his poor little boy Harry.
I also agree though … sex + Letterman = EEWWW
I, too, though am a Leno fan, but watch Letterman most nights now, since I cannot STAND Conan O’Brien, so sophomoric.

Letterman has a style all his own.

  5. Rhea says:

See, now I don’t think it’s scandalous at all really. He wasn’t married. It was a consensual adult relationship. From what’s out now, nobody ever complained about him being inappropriate or anything. Just this guy got word of it and decided to be a scum about it.

I don’t really care about Letterman one way or the other (I’m a Jay Leno fan :) ) but I don’t really see how he did anything wrong.

    Echoing Mom Most Traveled.

  7. I hadn’t heard about it but I do remember watching him after the news when I was a kid with my dad. The words sex and David Letterman together…shudder.

  8. It’s just….”give me something to believe in”.

    Chew know?

Yeah you just never know about people .
