We have begun a new era in the U.S. in 2009. We have new leadership and a renewed hope for repairing the many aspects of our country, our economy and our communities that have taken such a beating lately. Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes has a new campaign to help empower us to take steps towards improving one aspect of our communities that affects our children – our playing fields.
Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes Earn Your Stripes program has initiated a call-to-action for a national field renovation program that kicks off this coming Super Bowl Sunday with a commercial entitled “Plant a Seed.” The ad focuses on the role we all play in building stronger communities and making a difference in kids’ lives. Because the Earn Your Stripes program is about inspiring kids to be their very best, “Plant a Seed” shows that before anyone can earn a single stripe, someone has to plant a seed and help give kids places to realize their promise and potential.
The field renovation initiative will make over approximately 50 fields across the United States to help provide better places for families to stay active. Through this program, fields will once again become central and vibrant places of activity and community in cities and towns across the country.
Take a minute to visit the Frosted Flakes Plant a Seed website. You can nominate a field, create a seed pack with your child’s picture on it, and much more.

The Plant a Seed website doesn’t show how to sign up. I REALLY wish I heard about this sooner. We are a YOUTH BASEBALL CLUB that is in it’s 3rd year. It more than doubles each year and has kids going from court appearances to sport appearances – with pride!
Our teams travel all over the State of Michigan and TRY to represent our town with a tournament each summer…. We have NO funds and would GIGANTICALLY put a grant to use……….
Please forward to appropriate – WE ARE PERFECT for this promotion. Come visit our field and teams!!!
