Gobble this – because maybe turkeys can be perfect.

turkeyIt’s October, and before long November will arrive and bring with it thoughts of turkey and other Thanksgiving related things. Around here, I don’t cook…rather, I’m not allowed to cook. I’m lucky I can set the table without incident, specifically without setting things on fire.

ElectroluxMy husband is the cook in our family and not only is he a pretty good cook, he likes to get creative, and this year is no different. He has grand ideas about how he is going to prepare the turkey this year. These grand ideas might actually earn us a brand new Electrolux wall oven or range! Electrolux and Kelly Ripa are “on a quest for the perfect turkey” just in time for the holidays.

You can enter to win by submitting a video, picture or a story about your quest for the perfect turkey by visiting Electrolux Appliances and clicking on “Kelly Confidential.” Entries will be accepted from October 1 through November 14.

I submitted a story:

Turducken and then some – Turduckenhen
My husband is an amateur chef. He really enjoys and prides himself on his meal creations. This year he originally wanted to make a “Turducken” which is a dish consisting of a partially de-boned turkey stuffed with a de-boned duck, which itself is stuffed with a small de-boned chicken. But not to be ordinary, my husband decided he wants to take the turducken a step further and add a fourth bird – a cornish hen to the dish. He is calling it: Turduckenhen. We are in for an interesting holiday!

The Electrolux line of ranges and wall ovens come with the “Perfect Turkey Button.” This button uses a temperature probe to precisely control cooking, along with a convection system that gently browns the turkey while sealing in the juices, giving you perfect turkey, every time.

Hey, maybe I could even cook a turkey in an Electrolux! Don’t forget to go submit your own video, photo or story about your quest for the perfect turkey!
