I am grateful for those retail establishments that are making offers. As to offering it to the spouses, etc….the only thing I can say, as an Air Force Brat, is I remember when my dad, a pilot for USAF, retired. And, we were getting ready to go into Andrews AFB, and as Mom was straightening something on me, I said….Gee, Mom, shouldn’t we be getting some award, too????? She smiled. I mean, I really felt we were in the service just as much as my Dad was. However, the best thing my Dad did for me, is to make it work that I did not have to say I graduated from Kubasaki High in Okinawa. He got us to Annapolis for that to happen. Thanks, Dad.

I am a Nam vet. WIA , Khe Sahn , and Ashau Valley . Won’t be taking advantage of the free meals .
But . I can’t believe the negative comments about the business’s that have offered the free be’s .
Like all other vets from that era , all I got was 2 years out of the work force . That meant that I lost a lot of money . That is history .
Give these business’s a pat on the back and a thank you for the gracious offer . Concider it a thanks long over due . My two cents .
