I admit that I am a little obsessed about the way things smell. From my carpet to my clothes, I am conscious of whether or not they smell fresh. There’s a reason we call our blog “What’s That Smell?” beyond the obvious cute name for a mom blog.
I have been using a product called Febreze, pretty much since it came out. When you have pets and kids, and a nose like mine, Febreze is a lifesaver. Well, recently when I was contacted about trying some new versions of Febreze, I jumped at the chance!
Febreze Fabric Refresher
The first thing I was sent was a bottle of Febeze’s new formula and new bottle design and a limited edition Febreze Tote Bag.

The new Febreze is “new” because it now:
- Eliminates odors on fabrics and in the air
- Has a fine mist spray that allows for even application, and the new pump design reduces leaking, nozzle sticking and that “quacking” sound
- Provides longer-lasting freshness – up to two days of freshening power
The available scents for the new Febreze are:
- Meadows & Rain
- Linen and Sky
- Lavender Vanilla & Comfort
- Citrus & Light
- Spring & Renewal
I was sent a bottle of the Lavender Vanilla & Comfort scent and it is wonderful. I have to admit that I often spray it for no reason, just to smell it. The scent is very light, fresh and versatile, and really appropriate for just about any fabric, and any room in your house. As I mentioned, I’ve been using Febreze for a long time and I have always complained about 2 things. That the bottle leaks and it is so noisy. Well, the new formula comes with a new bottle design that appears to have solved both of those issues!
I like to use Febreze on our couch, places the dog lays on our carpet, to freshen pillows, to freshen the cloth bags inside our wicker laundry baskets, and for clothes that may have been hanging in the closet for a long time. I use Febreze for another use as well. I don’t usually put my shirts in the dryer because I don’t want them to wear out or change shape, so I often hang them to dry. Well, a wet cotton shirt on a hanger tends to make those fun shoulder dimples in the shirt and I’m not about to pull out an iron. So, before my shower each morning, I pull my shirt off the hanger, add a squirt of Febreze to each shoulder “dimple” and by the time I am done with my shower, they are almost dry. When I put the shirt on, the dimples disappear PLUS, my shirt has a nice freshly laundered scent.
Whether you need to eliminate odors or simply freshen fabric, carpets or the air, or remove shoulder dimples in your shirts, I really recommend Febreze.
Febreze Décor Collection
The second thing I was sent was a bottle of Febreze from the new Décor Collection.

Febreze is a very practical, versatile and functional product. As I mentioned earlier I use it for a lot of things. Usually at least 3 rooms in my house have a bottle of Febreze somewhere in the room. I like to have it at hand but will put it in a cabinet or closet if I have one because, let’s face it, a big blue spray bottle isn’t that attractive.
We moved last year, but when we were selling our house, I liked to freshen everything with Febreze before a showing. In fact, when our realtor came over to take pictures for the listing, a bottle of Febreze ended up in the picture of our upstairs bedroom.
See:

Well, now you don’t need to be shy about displaying your bottle of Febreze because the new Décor Collection blends with your home decor. It is smaller, clear in color and is shaped like a small vase.
It comes in the following scents:
- Lavender Vanilla & Comfort
- Spring & Renewal
- Meadows & Rain
I received a bottle of the Spring & Renewal scent and it was all I could do to keep from spraying it on myself! The scent is very light and refreshing and it’s so easy grab and spray any time.
I really recommend that you visit Febreze.com and check out all their products and take advantage of their special offers.
