“Imagine Your Life Without Fear” is the subtitle of the book Fearless by Max Lucado. This book sets about teaching us why we do not need to live in fear of LIFE, whatever it may bring and for me it was a home-run. The book is easy to read and very well organized. Each chapter has a clear topic about the issue of ridding our lives of fear and Lucado really does a great job of making in interesting and understandable, all the while juxtaposing real life examples with Biblical truths.
He explains what kind of fear is good, and what kind isn’t. The world we live in now seems wrought with more things to be afraid of than ever, but reading this book really helped me come to terms with some of my own fears.
My first reaction upon reading the first chapter of this book was how I now want to read more Max Lucado books. His writing style really resonates with me and tidbits of humor he adds in along with his easy-to-read style made me feel like I was talking to an old friend. I can’t say enough great things about this book.
Book Description
Each sunrise seems to bring fresh reasons for fear.
They’re talking layoffs at work, slowdowns in the economy, flare-ups in the Middle East, turnovers at headquarters, downturns in the housing market, upswings in global warming. The plague of our day, terrorism, begins with the word terror. Fear, it seems, has taken up a hundred-year lease on the building next door and set up shop. Oversized and rude, fear herds us into a prison of unlocked doors. Wouldn’t it be great to walk out?
Imagine your life, wholly untouched by angst. What if faith, not fear, was your default reaction to threats? If you could hover a fear magnet over your heart and extract every last shaving of dread, insecurity, or doubt, what would remain? Envision a day, just one day, where you could trust more and fear less.
Can you imagine your life without fear?
If you need a good, healthy dose of trusting in God rather than fearing life, I highly recommend this book! You can purchase it at Amazon.com, as well as many other online retailers.

I try to let go and trust God, but I really struggle with fear. It centers around losing loved ones especially my kids. I know that I can’t protect them like God can but again I realy struggle with this. This is definitely a book I need to check out!
I trust God, and fear people…not life :). My wife read this book and loved it, so I have to go dig out of the pile and read it :).
Max Lucado is one of my favorite Christian authors! I look forward to reading this book, thanks for the review.
Cool. I see our library has this book and a few of his others. I’ll have to check them out and give it a try.
