Energizer Rechargeable 15-Minute Charger

energizer1In our house we are constantly replacing batteries. From the digital camera to the umpteen-million toys my kids have that take batteries, it seems like almost daily something needs new ones. We do have a battery charger that we try and use rechargeable batteries in, but the problem is it seems like it takes all day to charge them so we just end up grabbing the disposable ones.

Until now!

Energizer recently sent me an Energizer Rechargeable 15-Minute Charger to test. This charger comes with a traditional plug and a car charger and offers fast, convenient power whenever and where-ever you need it most.

EnergizerThe charger came with 4 batteries, 2 AA and 2 AAA. It can charge up to 4 batteries (AA or AAA) at a time simultaneously in as little as 15 minutes! Just the other day the batteries in my digital camera died and I needed to replace them. Rather than grab some standard batteries I decided to put this charger to the test and charge up all 4 batteries. After 15 minutes the charger told me they were charged and so far the set of AA have lasted over a week in my digital camera and I use it almost daily.

The Energizer Rechargeables NiMH batteries that come with the charger last up to 4x longer in digital cameras, can be charged 100′s of times and can hold their charge up to 6 months. The charger itself is compact and I love that you can take it with and charge the batteries on-the-go. Perfect for the active family.

Some additional features:
*ENERGY STAR certified
*Meets strict energy requirements set forth by the EPA
*Easy-to-read charge status indicator light
*MSRP $32.99

When you consider the cost of standard batteries and the fact that this unit charges the batteries in 15 minutes both at home or in your car, you really can’t beat the convenience and practicality of this charger. On top of all that, rechargeable batteries are so much better for the environment because you aren’t disposing of as many batteries!

I have this same charger but I ran into the same problem with these batteries as my Kodak rechargeable batteries. They work great but after a while they don’t hold their charge as long as they did when they were new. When I first get them I can use them in my camera for days but after recharging them about 4 or 5 times they only last in my camera for a couple of hours. Kind of frustrating when you take a ton of pictures all the time.

  2. Thanks for the thoughtful review! I’m glad that it helped your family keep things convenient!

Oh my! that sounds WONDERFUL! My flip eats up batteries, and I just told my husband we have to get rechargable batteries, since I’m sick of going through so many. This might be our answer!

  8. That sounds awesome. We have a charger but stopped using it because it took FOREVER to charge batteries. I’ll have to bookmark that one for later.

Now that I have the Flip Ultra, I’m thinking it’s time to get one of those. Thanks for sharing the info, because I’ve had chargers before that were utter crap.
