Emile Norman, Artist

We have it all, here at Accidental Mommies! From puddles to amazing artists, we are your one stop blog spot.

I just watched a great documentary on PBS about the artist Emile Norman. Currently, he is working with tiny pieces of wood inlay on sculpted pieces.

Words are always so difficult to use when describing art, so just go check out his website. Get enlightened!

Isn’t this polar bear beautiful?

If you get a chance, check out this very interesting documentary about his life.

I also happened upon this documentary last night while cruising channels and was so facinated I watched the whole thing. I’ve seen his work before, but never knew anything about him. Simply amazing, both his life and his work.

  7. Heidi Andrade says:

I watched the documentary last night. The film was excellent! Emile Norman’s sculpture is beautiful – elegantly simple and sensuous – and his techniques are innovative. I’m glad he stayed in California and didn’t get involved with the art scene in New York City. I think he is ahead of his time, and will only become more popular as time goes by.
