Emergency? Really?
Yesterday, I had this conversation with Olivia while I was in the shower.
Me: “Olivia, I can’t hear you, is this an emergency?”
Olivia: “YES! My sleep mask fell in the toilet!”
Me: “Did you get it out or flush it?”
Olivia: “No, I got it.”
Me: “Well, put it in the sink. Did it fall in before or after you went to the bathroom?”
Olivia: “I already put it in the sink. I don’t know when it fell off – it was just in there when I stood up!”
Can I go back to bed? I am NOT ready for parenting.

Gracious…and first thing in the morning too…ugh! You most certainly have my permission to let them all run amok and go back to bed…I won’t tell a soul.:)
Deb – I’m so glad I’m not alone! We’ve also had that discussion many times. Is anyone hurt? Bleeding? Is the house on fire? No? Then it’s not an emergency!
I love that she didn’t know when it happened….
I seriously would have thought Olivia KNEW EVERYTHING! hehe
LOL! I’ve had the ‘what constitutes an emergency’ conversation before with my older girls – otherwise I get interrupted in the shower for every little thing. Their definition of ‘emergency’ is definitely not the same as mine! :)
