#33 Teresha @ Marlie and Me

Around here they joke about my use of the vacuum.  Sure, I use it a lot, but when you have an awesome vacuum like the Dyson Animal, who wouldn’t?

At school, my son had to cut out pictures of things from a magazine to illustrate what he would buy everyone for Christmas.  Can you guess what my gift was?  Yes, a vacuum.

My mother-in-law makes a joke before she comes over wondering if I will be vacuuming when she gets here.  Most of the time I am.

It’s almost Christmas, and if you still have some shopping left, and have some lucky person on your list that you were considering getting a Dyson for this year, there is no time like the present, because from now until the end of the year, when you purchase a Dyson vacuum at Sears, you get a FREE DYSON TOY VACUUM!

If you have always wanted a Dyson for yourself, this gives you a great excuse to finally treat yourself and get one, because the kids will enjoy it too!

This Dyson toy vacuum is the perfect compliment to Mom’s (or Dad’s) Dyson vacuum.  My kids both push other toys around the house pretending to vacuum while I vacuum and my daughter loves to try and take the accessories off mine.  With this one she can have her very own, her size and it even works!  There is gentle suction that picks up small pieces and the clear bin area replicates the motion of a real Dyson by spinning colorful particles around when you turn it on.   The actual collection area for the debris is in the back of the vacuum, separate from the clear bin area.

The Dyson toy vacuum has a detachable wand that also has gentle suction and 3 additional hand tool attachments.  It takes 4 “C” batteries and your kid is all set to help out with the household chores.

The look and feel of it really resembles an actual Dyson, so the kids will be THRILLED to be able to vacuum just like Mom or Dad but not get yelled at for playing with the real vacuum.

I received a toy Dyson for my kids, and I played with it myself then put it away…it will be underthe tree for them Christmas morning and I know they will be very excited.  With the accessories, the cyclonic motion, and the actual suction that can pick up small particles, it is fun with a purpose.   Not only do they get to pretend to be just like me with their Dyson, it actually works so they can feel a real sense of accomplishment when helping me vacuum.

It is my understanding that Sears will be running this promotion until the end of the year at all Sears Hometown Stores.  I do not believe it is available at Sears department stores, just the Hometown Stores and you can find a location near you on their website using the store locator.

In order to help me spread the word about the FREE toy Dyson with purchase Sears, Dyson has offered up one of their DC31 handheld vacuums to one lucky reader.  Dyson also sent me one of these and at first I wasn’t sure if I needed one considering how often I vacuum.  I. Was. Wrong.  I love it.  It lets me do quick pickups of cookie crumbs, Christmas tree needles, clumps of dog hair, and more.

A place that I could really use the Dyson DC31 handheld would have to be around our computer areas. We have two & I swear they are always the messiest areas in the house! I know one is because the regular vacuum does not fit in the cornered area where the desks are. (Both are in corners of the rooms)- But the other reason is because my kids won’t even bend over to pick up a staple they drop or those little pices of paper that come apart from notebook paper when you rip it out of a spiral… Grrrr- It drives me up the wall! LOL This would be perfect to help me get those areas of my house clean. No reason why the kids wouldn’t be able to vacuum up their messes!

The messiest place in my house where I could use this is the kitchen. Between the dog shedding and the kids spilling things there is always something to vacuum up.

Ugh I remember when my bfs daughter was over and in her room playing. Except she apparantly was painting her nails neon blue. She got some on her finger so she wiped her wet nail on the light tan carpet. So we arent sure what exactly happened next but there was half a bottle spilt on the floor and blue all over the wall. It took FOREVER to get all the blue off but she wanted to be a big girl and point her own nails all by her self.

One of the messiest places is the cat room. It is an old closet that has the litter box and the cats must play around in there because the litter is everywhere. I could use a Dyson to suck all that stuff up.

The messiest place in our house & where this would get a ton of use is the stairs! Everyone tracks dirt up them, the cats sleep on them and leave fur behind, and they constantly look dirty. But our vacuum is so heavy and impossible to carry on the steps without falling down them!

  10. One Christmas we bought a new TV and home entertainment center (after the CD player on our stereo stopped working and the antennae on our old TV broke)
