Dyson Animal and Kirby Ultimate G – side-by-side

Today I am going to show you a little bit more of the differences between the Kirby and the Dyson Animal essentially from an aesthetics point of view. The video below compares the basic features and functions between the two vacuums just as we look at them standing side-by-side.

A couple of things before you watch the video: first, I still say “ummm” to much, second the choking baby sounds you hear is because my daughter always drinks her juice too fast. I assure you, no babies were harmed in the making of this video.

Oh and as I watched this back I just wanted to yell at myself, “it’s a HOSE, not a TUBE, you idjit!”

So anyhow, take a look at the differences between the two and make sure to wave at Walter.

It’s late and I hope that didn’t come off like a jerk–it was supposed to be funny but my gather in law has made me self concious about humor not always coming through in the illusion of communication.

It really is a great video. I’m impressed by anyone who puts themselves out there on camera and I think you did marvelously!

    Umm…great video.

  3. Great video! The Dyson Animal will always be my dream vac. Someday I’ll be able to afford one.

  4. I just switched from dyson to kirby a few months ago. No vaccumes are as great as they are made out to be once they are used a while.

  5. I’m beginning to think you and I are twins. We sound a like I think. We love Fringe. (I’m considering naming appliances Walter for the heck of it.) We both got our Kirby’s at the same time. And almost every single reason you stated is the same for me as far as the Kirby. The kids see more action with the attachments on that thing than I do. I would LOVE to compare these 2 side by side. The only thing I’ve seen with the Kirby that I’ve never seen with any other vacuum is that vibration feature, where it vibrates dirt up out and away from things, and how super close it gets to the walls with ease.

I hate vacuuming – I think it’s because I have to bend so much and my back kills by the end of cleaning one room! I think I’d love a Dyson but sadly, I have no extra money to buy one. Boo hoo boo hoo. Oh well…. have fun with yours.

  7. Kim says:

    Pam,
Um, you want a Dyson. (um…)
Who knew cleaning could be that cool?

  8. Kim says:

    Baba,
It totally is! I will be doing a post about that too very soon.

  9. Pam says:

You didn’t say ‘um’ too much. ;)

    I want a Dyson! LOL!

  10. Baba says:

The Dyson looks a lot more manuverable; easier to handle. Let me know if it is.
