The 5th sponsor of our virtual baby shower is Critters Who Care. You can see the intro post here: Virtual Baby Shower – Fifth Sponsor – Critters Who Care.
Critters Who Care is an organization that gives a “stuff an animal” kit to children who have had tragedy in their lives. The kit provides the child with everything they need to lovingly create their special friend, including a star that they can make a wish upon before placing it in their new friend. These animals are often used in counseling sessions to help these kids deal with the grief and tragedy they have faced in their lives. Just $15 will provide an animal for a troubled child and possibly change their life.
Critters Who Care believe that children should not have to live with grief and fear in their lives. From their website:
Completing this task is a short diversion from their life of pain and fear but the counselors tell us that creating this huggable friend helps the children talk about their feelings and their fears. This new friend is theirs to keep forever, it will love them unconditionally and it will help them stay strong and brave through both the good times and the bad.
Critters Who Care has generously donated 3 “Baby’s First Teddy” 18″ Cubby Polar Bears, one of which my sister will receive for her shower, one of which will be given away in one of our weekly giveaways in Sept. or Oct. and the other is included as part of the GRAND PRIZE GIVEAWAY! The retail value of this prize is $18.00 plus shipping. This is a very soft, adorable bear!
Critters Who Care is donating these prizes through Fun On The Ark, which is a crew member site of Noah’s Ark Animal Workshop.
Thank you Critters who care for being a sponsor of our Virtual Baby Shower! Please go visit Critters Who Care and read about their mission and the stories of kids whose lives have been changed.
Please note that we have not started to take entries for the grand prize. We are currently announcing all the prizes. We will begin taking entries on October 1st.

I love this idea, as a foster parents, we see how much one stuffed animal can make a difference for a child, we always have a teddy bear ready for children who come to our home and it’s amazing how they cling to them. What a wonderful, thoughtful thing they are doing!
Wow, this is a wonderful idea
Melissa, aren’t they are so wonderful what they do for those kids?
I’m in tears and so touched by their mission. What a fantastic company!
