What They Want for Christmas – Squeeballs Party for Nintendo DS

DS Packaging with Bully Stylus

My son is getting a Nintendo DSi for Christmas from Santa this year.  It’s been ordered and is on it’s way (along with a Nerf case – he’s six years old and that DSi will need all the protection it an get).  Along with the DSi came a search for games for him.  Sure his list is full of the typical games a six year old wants but I am also interested in finding games that I would have fun playing WITH him (because Santa is NOT bringing me a DSi – poo).

Enter a new game called Squeeballs Party by Performance Designed Products.

Squeeballs Party is rated E10+ for everyone 10+ because of “cartoon violence”.  I will have to make the determination once we play the game if it is appropriate for him but I just don’t picture it being any worse than Tom & Jerry.  Every parent has to make that determination for themselves for their own child.

About Squeeballs Party:

Squeeballs are 12 toys that are manufactured on a secret island somewhere in the Pacific. Before they can be sold to children around the world, the Squeeballs must be fully put to the test…to the point of destruction! You can blow up, cook, slice, bat, bowl, shoot and bounce the Squeeballs. The game features a unique collection of 11 party games, each taking place in a different environment from lava-filled canyons, bowling alleys and kitchens to science labs and snow-capped mountains. As the game progresses and more challenges are met – each one more difficult than the last – the game showcases more than 150 unique challenges. The game is available for the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS/DS Lite/DSi, Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. The Wii version features 11 party games; other versions vary in content. “Squeeballs Party” is rated E10+ (Everyone 10 and older) with the descriptors “Cartoon Violence” by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).

This game sounds like a lot of fun, should appeal to boys and girls, and will likely be fun for the whole family.  It also comes in a version for the Wii, although the DS version is available with a limited edition character stylus.

You can purchase Squeeballs Party at Amazon.com.

Mattison is getting a DSi for Christmas and this game actually looks kinda fun. At least less violent than all the Star Wars stuff he’s asking for.

You know my son is getting a DSi, too. I saw this game at Costco and was wondering about it. I just liked the fun stylus’. LOL I got him like 6 games already at the TRU black friday sale, so this one might have to wait.
