This is apparently food week at What’s That Smell? and you will hear no complaints from me, especially because I got to sample it all. This time, thanks to MyBlogSpark I received a box of new Chex Mix Bars and a wonderful basket of spa products. And on top of that, they are giving an identical basket away to one of our readers! Woo-hoo!

The box of Chex Mix Bars that came with the “basket of Indulgence” are the Turtle flavor. New Chex Mix Bars combine crunchy Chex pieces (Corn and Wheat Chex), pretzels and peanuts with chewy chocolate and caramel. They have 130 calories, 3.5g of fat, 4g of fiber and they have at least 8g of whole grains per servings (48g are recommended daily).

I am in truly in love with the new Chex Mix Bars. We always have some kind of granola or fruit bar around the house and I often have one for breakfast and usually grab a couple for when we are out and about. My son and I both love them and I am always looking for ones with high fiber, low calories and great taste! Well, these delivered in a big way! I have a sweet tooth and these were sweet and gooey and really did taste indulgent. They were filling and actually seemed to take longer to eat than my usual bars. And while Jake said he still preferred his regular fruit bars (I suspect it is because he had to wash his hands after eating the Chex Mix Bars) he did say they were really good. That’s fine though because that means there are more for me! The only “drawback” to these bars is that they are a bit stickier because of the caramel (who cares) which is why Jake had to wash his hands afterwards, so you may want to have some wet wipes or baby wipes on hand if you are eating them on the go.
