Cause and effect

I put Jake in the tub this afternoon because he didn’t get his bath last night and it’s raining so we’re not going outside today. I started filling up the tub and he climbed in while it was filling.

I left to get towels from the closet right outside the bathroom and Jake said, “Mom, it’s not filling up.”

I went in and looked and sure enough, there was hardly any water in there. He was splashing around a little, but certainly not enough to make the water go anywhere. It took me a second to realize WHAT he was splashing around with…

“Jake, that’s because you took the plug out!”

Yeah….

It was one of those moments where I felt really, really BLONDE! (I am, by the way)

As for Mother’s Day, well, as I wrote in response to one of your posts…everyone screamed at me.

    Looking forward to next year…
