A little over 2 weeks ago, I posted about Critters Who Care and the wonderful things they do for kids by giving them a “stuff-a-bear” kit.

Kids love stickers. Mine loves to stick stickers in places that they don’t belong. One thing I’ve noticed, though, is that he really doesn’t care if he personally ’stuck’ the sticker, he likes the idea of just having a sticker on something. I don’t know if it’s the creative part of him that wants to add his own personal touch, or just more of a control thing where he likes to be able to change something, or some other reason I can’t even fathom. Whatever his motivation, from address labels to Chiquita Banana sticker that comes on our bananas, he does not discriminate. If it sticks, he likes it.

The other day we received a great package in the mail from Stuck on You. Stuck on You has a wide variety of stick-on labels designed with the purpose of “helping parents to organize their hectic households”.

My son loves 2 things. Well, he loves more than that but for the sake of this post, he loves 2 things in particular. He loves building with his K’NEX and he loves having his picture taken. So, when a K’NEX Sesame Street Ernie Building Set showed up in the mail, he just knew he was going to get to do the 2 things he loved because lately I photograph just about everything that comes in the mail. He bugged me for 2 days before I could finally devote some time to Ernie.

What in the world is a K’NEX Sesame Street Ernie Building set?
K’NEX, the maker of education building toys has a new line of Sesame Street themed building sets. These sets are part of the KID K’NEX line and are for ages 2-5 years. The Ernie, Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Oscar Building Sets have 15 pieces and include including KID K’NEX rods, connectors and blocks plus unique parts like specially-designed character hands, eyes and even an item each character holds in his hand that is uniquely his. Have you ever tried to polish, shine or condition your shoes? Well I have, and it’s pretty messy, and requires you to have all the proper shoe shining accessories which includes, at least, the polish, an application brush, a shoeshine brush, and finally a buffing cloth. I don’t know about you, but first of all, I don’t have the time or patience for all of those things and second, they take up a lot of room in my tiny linen closet.
