Cabbage Soup Diet – day 3: setback

Day 2 was not as successful for me as day1 was.  In fact, my weight was 165.2 so I gained .8 lbs.  I did not cheat but I have over 30 bug bites from being outside the other night.  I totally blame them.

Yesterday was veggie and baked potato day.  Along with my soup, I was allowed to eat veggies and one baked potato with butter.

Here’s what I ate and drank yesterday sort of in order of having it throughout the day:

  • 20 oz water
  • 10 oz hot tea
  • 20 oz iced tea mixed w/ cranberry juice
  • cucumbers & tomatoes dipped in a mixture of salt/pepper/water & 1 tbsp =Italian Dressing
  • 20 oz water
  • 20 oz iced tea mixed w/ cranberry juice
  • 20 oz water
  • medium bowl of cabbage soup
  • 1/2 bag of baby carrots (I found some spray butter in the fridge – not sure what it is made of but I did put some on the carrots – I needed flavor)
  • medium bowl of cabbage soup
  • 20 oz water
  • 1 baked potato with butter
  • 20 oz water

I was pretty full most of the day.  The veggies were good and I felt satisfied.

Since I started at 167, I am down in total 1.8 lbs.  Not earth-shattering but again I don’t put a whole lot of stock in the daily weights because they fluctuate for me.  Plus, there are the bug bites….

Trisha has continued to lose weight and has lost a total of 2.6 lbs in 2 days.  (rude)

Today is simply a mixture of fruits and veggies along with the soup.  I am going to make a conscious effort to drink a bit more water today, although yesterday I spent so much time peeing I was afraid to leave the house.  I’ve been trying to workout but frankly every time I try, my itchies flare up.  My feet, ankles and calves are covered in bites.

I did not get bit once.

    • Kim says:

Mine didn’t show up til yesterday, so I think it might be from the 1/2 hour I spent on the deck Monday night. Not sure.

Plus I was wearing shorts and flip-flops and got bit only on my lower legs – I was sitting on a blanket in the grass.

the way you photo-shopped your foot makes you look like a zombie. Maybe it’s just zombie bloat? Keep at it, can’t wait to see the final tally!

  4. Dude, you’re still doing fantastic!

  5. I SO feel for you and the bug bites… I get such an allergic reaction that I swell up like a balloon and then get infected. The worst part is I’m also allergic to most of the stuff in all the bug sprays and creams. Thank goodness for the new Off! clip-on, it’s not perfect, but it helps.
Sorry you haven’t lost as much weight as Trisha, that’s just WRONG!!

  6. Amy says:

I have been thinking about you and the cabbage…do you need beano? I feel sorry for your poor legs!

    • Kim says:

You know, I have not been gassy at all. I eat a lot of fiber in my normal diet anyway, so I wonder if my system is used to it.

  7. Firefly says:

LOL Trisha I’m sure tic tacs are the answer :P Hope the itching stops :(

  8. Dont be all jealous that i lost more weight. I think you need some tic tacs.
